Five decades in the making.
From a single pharmacy on Wellington Street to one of the most respected distribution groups in The Gambia — the story of MFH Group is a story of patience, partnership and place.
A pharmacy in Banjul
Michel Hocheimy opens a small pharmacy on Wellington Street in Banjul. It would grow to become Banjul Pharmacy — and the foundation of everything that followed.
Sunu Kerr is born
The Group opens Sunu Kerr — "Our Home" in Wolof — bringing quality goods for the kitchen, bathroom and home to Gambian families.
An official partnership with LG
MFH Group becomes the official agent for LG Electronics (then Goldstar) in The Gambia, beginning a relationship that continues more than three decades on.
Giving back
In recognition of the Group's support, the Emergency & Accident Ward at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital is named after the Hocheimy family.
King Food is founded
The Group enters food & beverage distribution with King Food, building a portfolio to serve every retailer, wholesaler and household in the country.
A new generation
Michel Hocheimy retires and passes leadership of the Group to his son, Fady Hocheimy, ensuring both continuity of values and fresh momentum.
Fifty years of MFH Group
The Group marks half a century of trade in The Gambia — 150-plus employees, ten stores, and one of the finest LG showrooms and service centres in The Gambia.
Looking outward
Rooted in The Gambia, MFH Group continues to seek out the world's best brands — and the partners who make them possible.
